The X-Caliber Mini Balancing Charger is great for new flyers that need to charge Li-Po batteries, but don't want to spend a lot of money, or to suppliment another charger that does not have balancing capability. The X-Caliber Mini Charger features a fixed 800mah current setting, with 2 balance connector output connectors. One connector is designed for 2-cell Li-Po battereis, and the other is designed for 3-cell Li-Po batteries. The connector polarity is the same as the X-Caliber line of Lithium Polymer batteries, so you simply plug your battery directly into the charger, and it automatically starts charging.

The Red LED "Power" indicator lets you know when power is applied to the charger, and the Green LED "Charge" indicator lets you know when the unit is charging. At the end of the charge cycle, the Green LED goes out to let you know the charging cycle is complete. The output of the charger is fixed at 800ma of current at 4.20 volts per cell, so the charger is suitable for use with Li-Po batteries that have a charge capacity of 800mah or greater.

Charging time will vary depending on the size of battery used, for example, an 800mah battery pack will take about 1 hour to charge. A 1600mah pack will take about 2 hours to charge, and a 2400mah battery pack will take about 3 hours to charge.

The input to the charger is a standard 5.5 x 2.1 mm coaxial plug, and the charger comes with a 3 foot input power cable to connect the charger to a 12 volt power supply or battery.
